Dr. sc. Marijana Bubanić is a researcher specialising in taxation, corporate tax systems, and fiscal policy. She holds the position of collaborator at the Faculty of Organization and Informatics, where her work focuses on the design, analysis, and implications of tax regimes, with particular attention to how they affect businesses.

Her research explores effective tax burdens on ICT and corporate entities in Croatia, changes in tax law, and the responses of firms to fiscal policy, especially during times of economic stress. She has also contributed to studies on market structure and profitability, as well as investigations into the impacts of regulatory changes on entrepreneurship and business resilience.

Marijana is active in several projects aimed at promoting entrepreneurship and digitalisation, including collaborative work on how digital transformation can help firms withstand exogenous shocks, and on how regional ecosystems can support inclusive entrepreneurial activity.

In addition to her academic publications, she plays leadership roles in scientific events—she has served as president of the organizing committee for CECIIS 2025 and is a member of the 35th Central European Conference on Information and Intelligent Systems.

Her work combines rigorous empirical analysis with policy relevance, bridging theoretical insights and practical challenges faced by businesses in Croatia and beyond.
