Abstract

This paper presents the results of research study focused on changes in behavior of supply
chain managers through the lens of globalization. The main aim is to examine the impact of globalization
on supply chain managers’ tendencies towards partnership creation. This research was conducted
on a sample file of Slovak businesses throughout the ten years of their supply chain activities. Significant
changes were examined in managers’ focus on structure of supply chains, partnership creation,
the importance of foreign suppliers and customers, as the key components of globalization impact on
businesses. Multivariate Regression Analysis was used as a main method to perform statistically significant
examinations. Findings provide an overview of how globalization can affect supply chains of
business companies.

Key words

Supply chain management, globalization, business partnerships.
