Aims, Scope & Publication Policy
Aims
Annual International Scientific Conference ERAZ – Knowledge-Based Sustainable Development (ISSN 2683-5568), published by the Association of Economists and Managers of the Balkans – Udekom Balkans, aims to promote high-quality scientific dialogue and the dissemination of original research addressing contemporary economic, managerial, legal, technological, and social challenges within a global and sustainable development context.
The conference provides an interdisciplinary platform for researchers, academics, practitioners, and policy makers to exchange knowledge, present empirical and theoretical findings, and contribute to evidence-based decision-making relevant to economic development, innovation, governance, and sustainability.

Publication Policy
Accepted papers are published within the framework of the International Scientific Conference ERAZ – Knowledge-Based Sustainable Development (ISSN 2683-5568) in the official Conference Proceedings and Selected Papers volumes, which form the ERAZ conference publication collection. In addition, an official Book of Abstracts is published for each conference edition.
Each ERAZ publication is assigned an ISBN, and each full paper is provided with a DOI to ensure permanent identification, traceability, and citation.
All submissions undergo a peer-review process conducted by qualified reviewers in the relevant field to ensure academic quality, relevance, and integrity.
Authorship and Submission Criteria
Manuscripts submitted to the International Scientific Conference ERAZ – Knowledge-Based Sustainable Development must comply with the following authorship and submission requirements.
Authorship Criteria
Authorship is limited to individuals who have made a substantial scholarly contribution to the research. Substantial contribution includes participation in one or more of the following activities:
- Conception or design of the study
- Data collection, analysis, or interpretation,
- Development of the theoretical framework or methodology,
- Drafting or critically revising the manuscript for important intellectual content.
All listed authors must:
- Have actively contributed to the work;
- Have reviewed and approved the final version of the manuscript;
- Agree to be accountable for the content of the work.
The inclusion of individuals who did not make a substantial contribution, as well as the exclusion of eligible contributors, is considered unethical and is not permitted.
Submission Criteria
By submitting a manuscript to the ERAZ conference, the author(s) confirm that:
- The manuscript is original, unpublished, and has not been submitted or accepted elsewhere.
- The manuscript is not under simultaneous consideration by another journal, conference, or publisher.
- The submission does not involve redundant or duplicate publication, in whole or in part.
- All data, sources, and materials are properly cited and referenced in accordance with academic standards.
- Any use of copyrighted material, personal data, or images complies with legal and ethical requirements.
- Any conflict of interest that could influence the research or its interpretation has been fully disclosed.
Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) Policy Compliance
The ERAZ conference permits the responsible and transparent use of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) tools in manuscript preparation only in accordance with the official ERAZ GenAI Policy.
Authors must:
- Disclose any use of GenAI tools in a dedicated AI declaration statement, as specified in the GenAI Policy.
- Ensure that GenAI tools are used solely as supportive instruments and not as substitutes for scholarly judgment, originality, or authorship.
- Remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of all AI-assisted content.
- Verify all references, data, and factual claims generated or suggested by AI tools.
GenAI tools must not be listed as authors, nor may they be relied upon as authoritative sources. Failure to comply with the GenAI Policy may be treated as a breach of publication ethics.

Failure to comply with the above authorship and submission criteria may result in rejection of the manuscript, withdrawal from the review process, or post-publication corrective action, in accordance with ERAZ publication ethics and integrity policies.
Ethical Standards
The ERAZ conference adheres to internationally recognized principles of publication ethics and research integrity. The conference maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward:
- Plagiarism and self-plagiarism,
- Data fabrication or falsification,
- Misrepresentation of authorship,
- Unethical research or publication practices.

Transparency and Integrity
The ERAZ conference website is designed to provide accurate, transparent, and verifiable information to authors and readers. All descriptions of editorial processes, peer review, publication outcomes, and indexing status are presented clearly and without misrepresentation.
Journal Title and Identity
The publication International Scientific Conference ERAZ – Knowledge-Based Sustainable Development (ISSN 2683-5568) is a conference proceedings publication issued within the framework of the ERAZ international scientific conference.
The ERAZ publication is not affiliated with, nor does it claim association with, any other journal or publisher.
Revenue Sources and Editorial Independence
The International Scientific Conference ERAZ – Knowledge-Based Sustainable Development operates under a transparent and ethical publishing model.
The conference and its publications are supported through the following revenue sources:
- Conference registration fees,
- Institutional and organizational support,
- Partnerships and sponsorships (where applicable),
- Grants or project-based funding (where applicable).
ERAZ does not operate on a subscription-based model, and all published content is made available under a full open access policy.
Editorial Independence
Editorial decisions at ERAZ are made solely on the basis of academic merit, relevance to the conference scope, originality, and ethical compliance.
Payment of conference registration fees does not influence:
- Peer review outcomes,
- Acceptance or rejection decisions,
- Reviewer selection,
- Editorial evaluation.
All submissions undergo the same peer review and editorial procedures, regardless of the author’s financial status, institutional affiliation, or funding situation.
Fee Waivers and Reductions
The ERAZ Conference may grant fee waivers or reductions under specific conditions, including free participation for premium (full) associate members of the UdEkoM Balkans Association, as well as in other justified cases defined by the organizers.
All fee waivers and reductions are administered independently of the editorial and peer review process and have no influence on acceptance, rejection, or reviewer assignment.
Advertising and Sponsorship Policy
The ERAZ conference may display limited institutional announcements, sponsorship acknowledgments, or partnership logos on its website or promotional materials.
ERAZ does not accept advertising that:
- Influences or attempts to influence editorial decisions,
- Is linked to specific articles, authors, or reader behavior,
- Is misleading, inappropriate, or incompatible with academic values.
All decisions regarding the acceptance of advertisements or sponsorship displays are made by the Conference Organizing Committee and are completely independent of the editorial and peer review process.
Advertisements and sponsorships are always clearly separated from editorial content and scholarly publications.
Direct Marketing and Communication Policy
The International Scientific Conference ERAZ – Knowledge-Based Sustainable Development conducts any direct marketing or outreach activities in a professional, ethical, and transparent manner.
This may include invitations to submit manuscripts, calls for papers, newsletters, or announcements related to conference activities.
All such communications are:
- Appropriate and well-targeted, addressing relevant academic audiences,
- Unobtrusive and respectful, avoiding excessive or aggressive messaging,
- Truthful, accurate, and non-misleading in content,
- Clearly identifying the ERAZ conference and its publisher.
ERAZ does not engage in deceptive, coercive, or misleading solicitation practices.
Information provided about the conference, its publications, indexing status, peer review process, fees, and editorial policies is always presented clearly and transparently.
Direct marketing activities are conducted independently of editorial decision-making and have no influence on peer review outcomes or publication decisions.
