In this paper, the change of loans and deposits has been examined in Bulgaria and the euro area during the period 2007–2017. A comparative analysis has been carried out of the dynamics of the financial indicators in Bulgaria and the euro area. The major trends have been outlined in the dynamics of loans and deposits. Reasons for change of the financial indicators have been pointed out..
